Semi-Retired Sire​

  • Role: Guardian Home

  • The Ideal Match: Single, Couple or Family Home. 

  • **No other male dogs** Ranger can coexist with an approved, compatible spayed female dog, but cannot live alongside other intact or neutered males.

  • The Commitment: Ranger is ready for an adventurous, permanent family life. Oro Valley Golden Retrievers may call upon him for occasional stud services in the future. We will coordinate directly with his family for short, planned breeding appointments. Once his service concludes, he will be neutered at our expense and permanently transferred into your name.

  • Temperament: Protective, loyal, confident, and playful.

  • The Ideal Match: Single female owner

  • **Only animal household**

  • The Commitment: Dixie has completed her momma duties and is ready for full-time pampering as an only pet. 

  • Dixie will be spayed upon finding her forever human.

  • Temperament & Needs: Dixie is a highly confident and stubborn "alpha female" who must be the undisputed center of her human’s world. She does not want to share affection or territory with other animals. In return, she offers deep loyalty and constant companionship.

  • The Ideal Match: Single, Couple or Family Home

  • **Only dog household** Because Maverick will remain an intact stud, he must be the only dog in the home to prevent territorial behaviors, stress, or accidental breedings.

  • The Commitment: Maverick will be your permanent family companion while we retain breeding rights. As he matures, we will coordinate with you for routine health clearance screenings and breeding use (typically short day visits a couple times a year). Once his breeding career concludes, Oro Valley Golden Retrievers covers his neuter, and full legal ownership transfers to you.

  • Temperament: Classic 1-year-old Golden spirit. Active, extremely loving, and eager to please.

Program Terms & Requirements

  • Location: Must live within one hour of Oro Valley / Tucson, AZ (with no plans to relocate during any contracted breeding period).

  • Expenses: The placement family handles standard pet expenses (premium food, routine wellness exams, vaccines, and monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention). Oro Valley Golden Retrievers covers all reproductive health testing, breeding logistics, and eventual spay/neuter costs.

  • Safety: Intact dogs must remain leashed and supervised in public at all times to ensure safety and prevent unauthorized matings.
